【Abstract】 Drought is one of the main meteorological disasters in Guizhou province. Based on the systematic studying about the types,the happening frequency,the duration, the regional distribution,the easy happening stage and the vertical change characteristics of summer-drought in Guizhou by utilizing the summer-drought intensity index,the amended Palmer-index and rainfall etc.,the main characteristics of summer-drought are summarized in this paper.
