【Abstract】 Abstract Aligned and dense carbon nanotubes produced by catalytic method(CCNTs) have been characterized employing both normal and micro Raman experiments. Raman peaks up to fourth order have been recorded and compared to those of carbon nanotubes produced by arc discharge method(DCNTs) and pyrolytic graphite(PG). Our results indicate that the CCNTs are well graphitized, and nanometer scale trubostratic stucture may be formed in growing CCNTs due to the relatively low growth temperature.
