【Abstract】 This paper describes some basic principles on how to map in a region bygiving an example of optimized automatic generation of three-dimension finite element meshon large unequal diameter tubular tees like drum and downcomer. It also reflects severalpopular methods such as subdividing in blocks, forming a whole by con joining, achievingoptimization of node number by software and subdividing partly in key regions.
