【Abstract】 Tianchi Lake Scenic spot in Tianshan Mountains is one of the main national scenic spots in China. It is characterized by its tourist resources of the vertical mountainous natural landscape in arid area, age-old and glorious mythologies ahd unique habits and customs of the minority on the prairie in west China. Tourists increased from O. lO7 million in 1980 to o. 32 million in 1995. In the development of tourist industry within the scenic spot up to now, however, some problems, such as low development level and utilization rate of tourist resources, poor promoting effect of tourist industry, destruction of resources and environment, too many administrative organizations, etc, still exist. Therefore, a correct orientation of tourism is to select a sustainable development strategy and adopt development of tourism and improving the environment in the scenic spot- In this paper, the fol1owig main measures are put forward for the sustainabIe development of the tourist industry in Tianchi Lake scenic spot in Tianshan Mountains:(1)It is suggested to formulate and amplify the pertinent policy, laws and regulations, straighten and reform the relationships between the various administrative organizations, and strengthen the management function of Tianchi Lake Scenic Spot Management Bureau. (2)The tourist resources of the habits and customs of the minority shou1d be rationally developed and utilized, and the management and training of the tourist service activities among the herdsmen should be strengthened- (3)The nGolden Belt of Tourism" from Fukang to Tianchi Lake should be actively developed, and the promoting effect of tourism to tertiary industry shou1d be brought into full play. (4)The tourists’ activities should be vigorously guided. (5)It is suggested to actively develop national market of tourists and make great efforts to develop international market of tourists as well- (6)The protection and exp1oitation of tourist resources and environment in the scenic spot should be strengthened. (7)The investment for basic research should be increased, and a sustainable development plan of tourist lndustry should be scientifically worked out.更多还原
