【Abstract】 The isologous crude inner ear antigen (CIEAg) was used for local immunity in endolymphatic sac (ES) of sensitized guinea pigs, with resultant endolymphatic hydrops and other pathohistologic changes in inner ears similar to that of Meniere’s disease. This result demonstrates that secondarily immunity in ES with CIEAg is a reliable method to induce Meniere’s disease in guinea pigs. It is suggested that the pathologic mechanisms in some of Meniere’s disease patients may be related to local autoimmune disorder in ES, which produces an attack of vertigo and hearing loss similar to that of Meniere’s disease. This experimental model is useful for further study on Meniere’s disease.更多还原
