【Abstract】 A ceramic metal material, (Al 2O 3+TiB 2)/Al, was produced by Self Propagating High Temperature Synthesis (SHS), at 973 K, in no pressure and air condition . The microstructure of interface of (Al 2O 3+TiB 2)/Al and Al was investigated. The result shows that (Al 2O 3+TiB 2)/Al system can be joined with Al. The optimum interface strength is obtained while (Al 2O 3+TiB 2)/Al system consists of 60 wt%Al.
