The sucess or not of breeding new summer variety of Chinese cabbage depended on the parents origin and its type.The varieties combinated with the type of Zao Huang Bai ' or' Xia Yan Bai' and north setuloso or bald type has little temperature and humidity tolerance, and it was suit for cultivation in early autumn and not in surnmer. The varieties which parents were little difference in character were not selected.
