【Abstract】 Weiyou Wan 3 (V20A/Wan 3), is a newly developed medium-maturing late indica rice with its restorer line Wan 3 selected by way of hybridization (Minghui 63/26 Zhaizao) and radiation. It shows high yielding ability and wide adaptability (6.65～8.34 t/hm 2, 6.6%～10.3% higher than the ckeck Weiyou 64, in provincial and national yield trials, 7.50～8.25 t/hm 2 in commercial production), good pest and stress resistance (tolerant to high temperature in the early growth stage and to coldness in the late growth stage; intermediately resistant to rice blast and bacterial leaf blight, tolerant to sheath blight), high seed production yield (2.25～3.00 t/hm 2) and acceptable grain quality (head rice 56.7%, L/W ratio 2.95, amylose content 23.6%). The combination has been planted to an accumulated area of 0.17 million hectares and its area is rapidly increasing. The main technical points on its cultivation and seed production were also described in the paper.更多还原
