【Abstract】 Based on the analysis of panicle weight, i.e., the weight of grains per panicle, of the prevailing combinations used in Guangxi from 1970’s to 1990’s and some promising newly-developed heavy-panicle combinations, it is indicated that the heavy panicle weight is the major factor in the yield increase of hybrid rice combinations. The methods and principles for selection of heavy-panicle combinations were also suggested.更多还原
