【Abstract】 The synthesis steps of 1 iodoethyl isopropyl carbonate were reported. 1 Iodoethyl isopropyl carbonat is an intermedicate at the 4th position side chain of cefpodoxime Proxetil one of antibiotics of B lactams. A parameter design method was applied to select the optimum synthesis condtitons. 58.6% and 70% yields superior to the reported values for 1 iodoethyl chloroformate and 1 iodoethyl isopropyl carbonate were obtained respectively, and the process was also simplified and the reaction time reduced.
