【Abstract】 The general target for the National Tuberculosis Control Programme (NTP) by the year 2000 is to reduce 50% of the smear positive prevalence based on the prevalence in 1990. The tuberculosis control project, which covered 12 provinces and autonomous regions and about half (560 million) of the national population, was initiated in 1992. Another project was initiated in 1993 and covered other 15 provinces. It was provided by the MOPH and local government, The cure rate among new smear positive cases was about 90%. The result showed that the tuberculosis control programme has been rather stable in China.更多还原
