【Abstract】 Distributed multimedia systems have many potential application areas and the deployment of such applications has so far been rather limited for lack of agreed architecture.In this paper,we first detail the distributed multimedia system resource configure model and function requirements.After introducing virtual device,virtual connection and QoS,we describe an architecture reference model for distributed multimedia systems that we use in our research and development.The reference model is very useful to understand the nature of distributed multimedia systems and the mechanisms necessary for such systems to operate successfully.更多还原
