一种改进的码书型边缘检测方法
Improved Codebook Edge Detection
【摘要】 由于越来越多的图象数据采用压缩状态存储,为了减少运算量,研究直接从压缩状态进行图象分析受到了广泛的重视.文献[2]提出了这样一种方法一码书型边缘检测算法,通过对所谓“边缘码书”进行简单查表就能完成对矢量量化编码的图象数据的边缘检测.但其不足之处是检测效果不理想,不能达到实用要求.针对这一问题,本文提出一种改进的码书型边缘检测方法,实验结果证明其检测结果非常接近对解压缩图象进行边缘检测的理想效果,大大优于原来方法.
【Abstract】 Evaluating the edge content of an image purely from its coded representation has much interest in application One technique for detecting edges directly from vector-quantzed image representation was proposedby Mclean in [2],called codebook edge detection Using it, the deges can be detected by a simple table lookup of so-called "edge codeobook" In this paper, we proposed an improvet method for codebook edge detection, which is based on a new type of "edge coebook". Experimental results prove that much better performance can be gained using the new kind of "edge coebook", whose the is even smaller than that of Mclean,s.
