【Abstract】 In the face of moral diversity in the context of the postmodern condition, H. Tristram Engelhardt, Jr., offers a secular bioethics to provide contemporary medicine amd healthcare with a commonly shared ethical foundation or neutral framework. His representative work, The Foundations of Bioethics, is not all exotic rather is significant and suggestive to China because moral plurality is anything but foreign to Chinese experirnce.
