【Abstract】 This new cestode (Anomotaenia garrulaxa n. sp. )was collected from Galrulax sannio in Fuzhou, Fujian. Its specific characters are as follows: (Figs 1～5) (Unit mm).Strobila 28～40 in length, 0. 873～0. 927 in maximum width, Neck 0. 300～0. 403: 0. 382～0. 798 ×0. 260～0. 311, early gravid segments 0. 667～0. 915 × 0. 499～0. 562. Genital pores irregularly altermated, opening at anterior third of the lateral margin of the proglottid.Scolex, 0. 394 ～ 0. 417 × 0. 235 ～ 0. 248. Suckers 4, unarmed, 0. 109 ～ 0. 124 × 0. 097 ～0. 118. Rostellum 0. 074～0. 079 × 0. 081 ～0. 087, bearing 24 hooks arranging in 2 crowns, the large hooks 0. 047～0. 052 in length, the small hooks 0. 040～0. 043 in length.Testes 15～ 18, roundish or elliptical, 0. 051 ～0. 067 ×0. 042～0. 054, locating in the posterior half of segment, behind the female genital organs. Cirrus pouch ellipthical, 0. 090～0. 096× 0. 052～0. 088 in diameter. Cirrus with spines, 0. 002 in length, often stretch outside the segment. Ovary with 2 lobes, each lobe to be composed of tree-like branches, 0. 612 ～ 0. 633 ×0. 136. Vitelline gland elongated transversely, compact, posterior to the ovary. Seminal receptacle pear-shaped, 0. 059 ～ 0. 067 × 0. 046 ～ 0. 055. Uterus sac-like, located before the ovary in early gravid segments, extending gradually to the posterior region of segments until occupying all the proglottid.Discussion: The new species resembles Anomotaenia volvulus (Linstow), but differs from the later mainly by the following features: (1 ) The strobila of new species is relatively small: (2)Testes are fewer (15～ 18) than that of A. volvuls (18～20), arranging as two rows but not of 3 rows more in that of the similar species; (3)Ovary of new species occupying the most anterior part of segment, with distinct branches, while the ovary of A. volvulus having two unsymmetrical lobes, situated near the pored side of segment.更多还原
