【Abstract】 Since the establishment of the Athletics School which is affiliated to the Wuhan Institute of Physical Education in 1988,practice and experiment has been carried out in the formation of a "Schooling and Training" model and sports talent cultivation. The "Schooling and Training" model with distinctive features of the Wuhan institute Physical Education proves to be practical and effective.
