【Abstract】 All of 276 species of intertidal rocky benthos, Xiamen Island are reported in this paper.Algae, Molluscs and the others comprised 65. 21 % of all species. The average biomass and density were 1365.09g/m2 and 3100 ind. /m2,respectively in summer and winter. The Crustaceans was the first in the biomass, Molluscs the second; but the molluscs was the first in density, the Crustaceans the second. The horizontal distribution of the quantity, semi-sheltered transection had larger quantity than sheltered transection, and the sheltered larger biomass than the exposed;but the exposed transection was mors than semi-sheltered transection, and semi-sheltered was more than sheltered in density. In the vertical distribution of quantity, the middle tidal zone has the largest, and the high tidal zone the smallest. The seasonal variation of the quantity was larger in summer than in winters.更多还原
