Binaural Interaction in Auditory Brainstem Responses of Cats
70dBClick(75dB WN)时P1波振幅减小与中枢的离中控制相关。
【Abstract】 I Both ears of cats were stimulated simultaneously and respectively by different intensityof static white noise (SWN) and click. At the same time we observed and recorded the ABRs before and after the damage of cochlea ipsilateral with the ear stimulated by SWN, and studied the effect of con-tralateral ear SWN on ABRs and its possible mechanism. We discovered that SWN of 40dB and 75dB affected the ABRS evoked by clicks of OdB, 45dB, 70dB and 75dB obviously before the cochlea of SWN ear was damaged (P < 0. 05). However, after the cochlea was destroyed, the amplitude of ABRs e-voked by clicks under the same conditions mentioned above had no obvious variations (P > 0. 05). The results suggested that the decrease of ABR amplitude before the damage of cochlea may be the result of inhibiting interaction between two kinds of signals ascending along brainstem auditory pathways, that is, SWN has an interference effect on click signal to a certain degree, and that the decrease of Pi amplitude evoked by 70dB click is related to the centrifugal control of central nervous system.
