【Abstract】 Porin, a major component of outer membrane protein (OMP), was purified from murine typhoid Salmonella by ultrasonication, Triton X - 100 dissolution, hyperfine Sephacryl S - 300 and Sephadex G - 150 gel filtration. It was assayed that the lipopolysaccharide (LPS)content in porin was about 0. 06 %. SDS-PAGE profile showed that porin was a single band with a molecular weight of 36KDa.
