【Abstract】 With the expansion of telecommunication networks and growth of traffic demand, it becomes urgent and important to develop ultra-high speed optical communication systems. In this paper, the necessity of developing optical communication systems with a bit rate beyond 2.5Gbit/ s is discussed, and some detailed analysis of the selection of major technical solutions, comparison of different type of fibers and some suggestions on the strategies of national backbone networks are presented.更多还原
