【Abstract】 Twenty two patients with meningioma confirmed by excision were reported. 11 of them were performed embolization of external carotid artery after catheterization and then underwent meningioma resection within the next week. The other 11 cases were only performed meningioma excision. A comparative study of this two group showed that there was less operative hemorrhage, field of operation was clear and tumor was easily removed and excision ,recurrence rate of postoperation was lower in the former group. Thus, effective embolization of external carotid artery was an effective method for controlling operative hemorrhage.更多还原
