10MeVLIA加速电压、电子束流测试

【摘要】 描述了中物院流体物理研究所10MeV电子直线感应加速器(10MeVLIA)加速电压、电子束流波形测试方法,主要介绍了为探测加速腔电压波形而设计的电容性高压脉冲探头(CVP探头)及其测试方法,并介绍了用电阻环四象限点监测束流质心位置及束流强度的方法,以及加速腔电压的叠加测试方法

【Abstract】 The 10MeV Linear Induction Accelerator (LIA) built at Institute of Fluid Physics, CAEP consists of 4-module injector and a 28-module accelerating section, total more than 20m long. It is used to generate a single burst of X rays by focusing a 60ns , 2kA electrons beam onto a small tantalum target for explosive-driven research. The accelerating cavity voltage pulses are measured with capacitive voltage probes (CVP),which insalled on every individual cavity. The electrode of the CVP is a 78mm diameter steel plate with a 128mm long supoorting pole. The resulting voltage pulse of the injector or the accelerator are measured by summing passively the signals from the CVPs on the injector cavity or those on the accelerator cavities, and then integrating them with RC integrators respectively. Fig.3 shows the schematic of the multicavity voltage measurement. The typical diode voltage pulse of the injector and accumulative voltage pluse of all 10MeV LIA cavities are shown in Fig.4. The electron beam current monitor is a resistance ring made up a few tens resistors, a metglass was embeded inside its brass shell. Several beam current monitors installed at different place along the beam pipe are used to measure the beam current intensity and position Fig.6 shows the circuit of the beam position and intensity measurements. The beam position and intensity measured at the end of 8th accelerating cavity are shows in Fig.9.
