【Abstract】 In the middle 1980s, it was said that the life of the Yellew River mouth has reached to the end, which caused a great chaos. After carefully examined the flood situation, the authors discovered that the channel of the river mouth might still be used safely. The calculation, by five methods, confirmed that its service life may be prolonged for 50 years with the safety coefficient of 1.8 or so. A tidal mathematical model to study the siltation process of the river mouth also proved that no negative effect could be found under different conditions. A program to further prolong the service life has also been worked out by the authors.更多还原
