【Abstract】 The macro phenomenon of liquid flow in packed columns with corrugated packings is mathematically analysed. A mathematical model for wall flow boundary of the packed column is derived so that the wall flow boundary curves can be computed in terms of their structural characteristics. In addition, the wall flow insufficiency curves for several corrugated packings are also worked out based on their wall flow values. This work is experimentally confirmed on a well designed distillation test rig.更多还原
