【Abstract】 A comparison of using MDT with DDS monotherapy showed that the frequence of leprosy reaction have no difference between both the groups,but the duration of the reaction was shorter in MDT group. In view of the fact that there were still occurrences of the reaction and new deformity in seven out of 31 cases two years after MDT,the authors suggest either to elongate the period of taking MDT or to combine prednison with MDT in the first six months of treatment for those who showed a tendency to suffer from the reaction so as to prevent disability.更多还原
