【Abstract】 Eighty elderly patients with hypertension were treated with nifedipine and propranolol for 12 months. The chronic effects of nifedipine and propranolol on plasma lipids and glucose were assessed. The results showed that antihypertensive action of nifedipine and propranolol was rapid and consistent, and side effects were lesser. There was no effect on plasma lipids and glucose during 12-months therapy.更多还原
