Pr:YIG晶体基态磁矩的理论研究

【摘要】 本文用量子理论计算了PrY2Fe5O12(Pr:YIG)晶体中Pr3+离子的基态磁矩及其温度特性,结果表明,Pr3+离子的4f2组态的晶场能级中最低两个能级相差很小,在超交换作用下,这两个能级的波函数发生较强的混合,从而导致基态磁矩。温度在40K-300K范围内,计算结果与实验结果相符较好。

【Abstract】 In this paper the calculations of the ground-state magnetic moments of the rare-earth Pr3+ ion in Y,PrFe5O12 crystal are presented and its properties in the tempera ture range are discussed. It is found that the energy difference between the loween and the second levels in the crastal field split energy levels of 4f configuration is very small,The ground-state magnetic moment is caused by the admixing of different crastal field states owing to the superexchange interaction. The calculated results in the temperature range from 40 to 300K are in agreement with the experiments.
