【Abstract】 This study has investigated 1303 child-bearing women at 4 villages randomly selected at Baodi and Wuqing area with typical investigation method. There are differences between the 2 areas in family planning works. The investigation rate is 97. 7%. The result shows that family planning rate and birth rate in Wuqing are 97.7% and 75%, which is significantly higher than the 2 rates at Baodi (59. 3% and 42.6%). 2-birth rate in Baodi is as higher as 46. 3%. At baodi the contraceptive rate,long acting contraceptive rate and sterilization rate are of 89. 7% ,85. 7% and 35. 9%, all significantly higher than the rates at Wuqing. Family planning work in Wuqing has made a better result, but its practice of long acting contraceptive methods is not satisfied, which resulted in high abortion rate 77. 8% and belonging to the higher level. Baodi County has leg behind in controlling the population size. Though the use rate of long-acting contraceptive methods is high,they are used after the 2nd birth or multi-birth. Some problem still remains in the implement of contraceptive methods in both areas. Among 1303 Child-bearing women, 33. 2% have unplanned births, 22. 6% have had abortions since the practice of family planning. So it is estimated,according to this,maybe 48% child-bearing women dose not receive any contraceptive method and resulted in unplanned birth or abortion,and this should be pay more attention by family planning workers.更多还原
