【Abstract】 The effectiveness of Norplant implants over a seven year period of continuous use was studied in a multicenter trial. More than 3600 women completed 6 years and more than 2400 women completed 7 years. Pregnancy rates were 0. 4 per 100 both in the sixth year and the seventh year. Pregnancy rate increased with weight (P<0. 05) and decreased with age. When data of the years 6 and 7 were combined. the pregnancy rate was less than 1 per 100 women years in any of the age groups or in any of the weight groups.更多还原
