Pulse propagation in shallow water with thermocline

【摘要】 <正> The band-limited signal waveforms versus depth, range and frequency in shallow water with a typical thermocline have been calculated using the ray-mode theory with beam displacement. The calculated waveform structures are in good agreement with the measured ones. It is indicated that if sufficient environmental parameters are known, it is possible to realize numerical prediction of .the signal: waveforms in shallow water.
