【Abstract】 MAE and BN are two feasible measuring methods for the plane stress, but they both have their inherent limitations.A new technique, the magnetoacoustic stress measuring mathod, is developed by making use of the advantages of MAE and BN and with the specific features of their application in the stress measurement of ferromagnetic materials taken into consideration.
