多金属结核瞬时生长速率及其意义
INSTANTANEOUS GROWTH RATES OF POLYMETALLIC NODULES AND THEIR SIGNIFICANCE
【摘要】 本文采用X射线荧光光谱分析,沿结核壳层的生长方向逐点扫描测定铁锰含量,计算结核壳层的瞬时生长速率,划分结核壳层的生长阶段,计算各生长阶段的生长速率,并在结核壳层中建立高分辨率的时间标尺,重建多金属结核生长历史。作者研究表明,瞬时生长速率这个新概念和指标的采用,有助于了解多金属结核生长的详细历史和识别结核壳层中古环境变化的高分辨率记录。
【Abstract】 Based on the Fe and Mn concentrations in single points of the profiles cutting the crusts of polymetallic nodules CCA33, CCB29, CCC50 and CCC14 from the Clarian-Clipperton Area in the Eastern Pacific Basin, the authors have calculated the instanttaneous growth rates during nodule formation processes, divided nodules formation processes into many stages, determinated stage growth rates, built highresolution time scales in nodule crusts and rebui1t the nodule growth history. These studies suggest that using instantaneous growth rate, a new concept and index, we can start a new way of studying nodule growth history and drawing paleoenvironmental information from nodule records.
