【摘要】 本文在分析中国边缘海沉积类型及其沉积环境基础上，编制了沉积物分区图。把浅海部分划分出８个沉积类型区，５０个左右沉积区；冲绳海槽划分４个沉积区，南海的半深海、深海区划分６个沉积区。进而讨论了浅海和半深海、深海两大沉积体系沉积物的分布规律。更多还原

【Abstract】 The offshore area of China is part of the epicontinental seas of the Northwest Pacif-ic Ocean and with both neritic continental shelf and bathyal-abyssal basin sediment envi-ronments, According to bottom material types and the formation environments,there are the following sedimentary areas:1.Sediments in neritic continental shelf（1） Large river-mouth muddy sediment area;（2） Coastal current muddy sediment area;（3）Small circulation muddy sediment area;（4）Wave-controlled sandy sediment area;（5）Tidal current sandy sediment area;（6）Relict sediment area（or Plimpsest sediment area ）;a. Outer continental shelf relict sediment;b.Relict sediment in bay;C.Relict sediment of strait:d.Relict sediment in the area off big river mouth;（7）Mixed sediment area. 2.Bathyal-abyssal sea basin sediments（1）Terrigenous coarse clastic sediment at upper part of continental slope;（2）Foraminiferal sediment and foraminifera-bearing sediment;（3）Foraminifera-and radiolaria-bearing sediment;（4）Deep sea clay;（5）Coral fragmental sediment;（6）Other sediments such as turbidite,volcanic sediments and ferromanganese nod-ules. Distributions of continent shelf sediment mainly depend on hydrodynamics and ma-terial source.Relict sediments are products of different environments,but they are now distribut-ed in erosional and non-sedimentation environments,and therefore both modern andrelict sediments can be divided according to modern environments. The South China Sea is a tropical marginal sea with well-developed biogenic sedi-ments,Its complete sediment sequence（calcareous and siliceous sediments and abyssalclay）is similar to that of the Pacific Ocean, However,because the marginal sea is rich interrigenous materials and CO₂,and has a strong solution ability,the lysocline depth andCCD are shallower than those of the sea areas（at the same latitude）in the Pacific Oceanand also distribution depth of sediment zonation is shallower.Compared with the sea,theOkinawa Trough has a relatively small depth,small area and uncomplete abyssal sedi-ment sequence.China offshore sediment distribution is characterized by latitudinal zonation,circum-continent zonation and depth zonation.更多还原
