【Abstract】 The intellectual structure of editors of learned journals has A direct influence on the quality of learned journals. The present paper centres its discussion around how a learned journal of good quality depends on its editors’ quality and rationalized structure of knowledge. The first section, explores the intellectual structure of a journal editor from two perspectives,namely,the structure of knowledge and that of competence.
