【摘要】 沙塘鳢是太湖沿岸区一种常见的小型鱼类，本文对其生长与摄食习性进行了深入细致的研究。研究结果表明，沙塘鳢对太湖经济鱼类危害不大，反而能抑制野杂鱼的过量繁殖，而且它生长快，肉质好，应作为优质鱼加以保护，同时提出了沙塘鳢的起捕规格及其资源保护措施更多还原

【Abstract】 Odontobutis obscurus (Temminck et schlegel)is a common small- sized fish in Taihu Lake,Emphatically investigation on its growth and feeding habits was made from March 1992 to Febrary 1993 in order to understand the potentiality of its resource and the correltion amomg other fish resources in the lake. The results are summarized as follows: 1. Odontobutis obscurus isnot much harmful to other economically fishes in Taihu lake, and can also restrain mass reproducing of small wild fishes 2.
