【Abstract】 Todays market demans an ever increasing diversity of goods. Contemporary businesses strive to meet the demands for product inovation and diversity by keeping a minimum of labor costs and processes in order to conserve their strength for future product developments. The Variety Reduction Program(VRP) is developed the solution of this dilemma. VRPs goal is to lower costs dramatically by reducing the number of parts and production processes required for manufacturing a product while successfully meeting the market demand for greater quantity and variety of products.
