【Abstract】 There are not standards yet by which the lateral stiffness of industrial steel buildings is assessed according to spatial calculating model in The Code of Reliability Assessment of Industrial Buildungs.The lateral stiffness assessment of the Martin furnace building of the first steel factory of Taiyuan Steel and Iron Corporation,whith was built in 1935,was made by the method of the site test and the analysis of the finite element.
