【Abstract】 An expression for the quasielectrostatic field in piezoelectric crystals has been derived from both electromagnetic field equations and piezoelectric constitutive equations with the help of the physical picture of quasistatic approximation. A general formula for the correction of the Pockels effect to theBrillouin scattering tensor is given. The corresponding calculation is made forthe pure modes in the directions with higher-symmetry for nineteen noncentrosymmetrical point groups. The physical significance of the result is discussed.更多还原
