【Abstract】 This paper analyses the influence of break area on transient thermohydraulic characteristics of a small break LOCA on the base of experimental data. The larger break area, the faster system depressurization, the more the loss of coolant and the shorter critical time.And a calculated expression including the influence of break area is obtained.
