【Abstract】 Local documents constitute one of the two subsy stems of the national document system. They have the five characteristics: regionalness, repetitive use, relative objectivity, wide range and continuity, which makes them bear important informational value and precious historical data value. As local documents have been playing a very important role in the construction and development of the local cause, local university libraries, like local public libraries, should strengthen their local document resources construction, attach importance to the collection and classification of local documents and do everything possible to make them fully exploited and utilized so that they can render active service to every construction undertaking of the local area.更多还原
