【Abstract】 ypespis soreds sp. nov. (Figs. 1-4)The new species resembles Hypespis hrydi Samsinak, 1961, but differs from the latter in the following characters: (l ) Idiosoma measuring 640 X 450, the dorsal plate coveringmost of the dorsum, with 39 pairs of setae ;(2) the digitus fixus with 2 large teeth, withoutsmall teeth, while the latter species with 2 large teeth and a few small teeth; (3) the firstpair lyriform Pores of the sternal plate transverely lying between the St1, while those in thelatter species lying inside the St1 somewhat backward;(4) the venter with 10 pairs of setae,the posterior 4 pairs rather thick and spinishaped, whereas the latter species with only 7pairs of setae; (5) in the new species, distance between genitoventral plate and anal plateshorter than the length of anal plate, while in latter species the distance longer than thelength of anal plate.Holotype collected off Sores smalls Thomas, on Jul. 10, 1983, from Huzhu County(36"50’N, 102"28’ E ), 4 paratyps collected off Sorex suaveolens Paiias, on Nov. 2, 1992,from Huangzhong County (36"27’N, 101q30’E).
