【Abstract】 Habitat selection of the Przewalski’s Rock partridge, Alectoris magna, was investigated during March-June, 1995 in Lanzhou. This period includes two specific stages of flocking and breeding in the species’s annual cycle. This paper chiefly reports habitat selection of A. magna during different stages of life history and effect of environmental factors on habitat selection. During flocking period, they select the habitat which has lower altitude, near water resource and has higher heterogeneity of ground environments. During breeding period, the A. magna is preference for the habitat that has higher altitude, farther distance from water resource and lower heterogeneity of ground environments. The vegetation features of their habitats during breeding period is similar to that of habitats during flocking period. The potential food resource, number of predators, water and territorial behaviour can determine the habitat selection of the partridge during different life cycle.更多还原
