【Abstract】 The effect of aqueous extract and alcohol extract of Polygonum multiflorum on plasma lipid,liver choles- terol and blood viscosity in senile rats were observed.Results showed that (1) Alcohol extract H (crude drug 8g/ kg per day) could decrease the plasma triglyceride level significantly;(2) Either aqueous or alcohol extract H could decrease serum cholesterol and blood viscosity in senile rats;(3) Serum LDL was significantly lowered by aqueous extract,and (4) Alcohol extract either H or M (crud drug 2g/kg.day) could decrease liver cholesterol significantly.It suggested that the different extracts of Polygonum multiflorum were effective in improving the plasma lipid,liver cholesterol and blood viscosity.This might be one of pharmacological mechanism in delaying aging.更多还原
