【Abstract】 Azithromycin,taken orally,will protect mice from being infected by 2strains each of Stapylococcus aureus,Streptococcus pneumoniae and Streptococcus pyogenes.The ED50 value of azithromycin in infected mice equals to 51.40 and 58.74mg/kg,20.40 and28.74 mg/kg,20.90 and 21.74mg/kg respectively,which are lower than those oferythromycin(101. 42 and 106.84mg/kg,104.12 and 165.79mg/kg,43.7l and 43. 48mg/k4.
