【Abstract】 This paper describes a precision fiber optic liquid level sensor based on photoelastic effects and such advanced techniques as computer,microelectronics, optical waveguide. An obvious advantage of the system is that it detects liquid level signal with light without electric power present in the measuring field,thus it can be applied in areas with exploding and burning danger.
