【Abstract】 In this paper,the design rules for webs in shear limit states are discussed. Based on the analytical results of the complex finite strip method of buckling analysis,the elastic local buckling coefficients of the webs of plate girders subjected to shear are obtained when the restraint provided by the flange is included.
