【Abstract】 Two water-soluble glucans were isolated from the hot water extract of the root of the Stephania tetrandra. Their mean molecular weights were estimated to be 9 .3× 103 and 2.0× 106 respectively. Their specific rotation are +148.8° and +191. 0° (cl .0, H2O). Methylation analysis, periodate oxidation, Smith degradation and partial acid hydrolysis showed that both have a main chain of (1→4) glucan with difference on the branching frequency and linkage mode of side chains.更多还原
