【Abstract】 The property and constituent of the coal tar pitch are of great importance tothe production of raw material for needle coke,Structure constituent of five coal tar pitchesselected was determind using 1￣H-NMR. Besides,thermal conversion process of thesepitches in which primary quinoline in soluble fraction was removed by centrifugal separationmethod was also investigated.The experimental results show Baogang(Ⅰ)and Meishancoal tar pitches meet the requirements of raw material for needle coke.
