超短脉冲激光的脉宽测量
MEASURkMENT OF THE ULTRASHORT LASER PULSEWIDTH
【摘要】 采用二次谐波相关技术,研制了一台可用于飞秒超短脉冲激光脉宽测量的光学相关仪。通过合理设计和选择分束、并束装置及光学延迟元件,获得了3:1曲线以及无背景相关曲线,实现了对超短脉冲激光脉宽的测量。
【Abstract】 Abstract In the study of the ultrashort-pulse, the measurement of the pulse duration is veryimportant.This paper discribeS an optical autocorrelator capable of measuring fs ultrashortlaser pulsebyusing second-harmonic correktion techniquc. After an ultrashort laser pulsebeam is split into two with properly designed beam-spliting device, one beam passes throughthe optical delay components and enters into crystal while the other enters into crystaldirectly. The beams correlate in the crystal and produce the second-harmonic signal, which isreceived by photo multiplier tube and recorded by recorder. Because one light beam iscontinuously delayed, we can get the pulse width of the correlation signal and the pulsewidth through multipling a certain-factor for a given pulse shape. In our paper, we useand compare two different methods. Presuming a sech ̄2 pulse shape we get the results of97fs through the 3: 1 autocorrelation curve and 92fs through the background-free respectively,which are in good agreement as expected, Our experimental results clearly indicated theusefulness and reliablity of the autocorrelation measuremint for fs laser pulse widthdetermination.
