【摘要】 <正> The purple membrane (PM) is found on the plasma membrane of Halobacteria Halobium,which contains an integral membrane protein, bacteriorhodopsin (BR). The structure andfunction of bacteriorhodopsin are rather clear at present. Protein to lipid ratio of the purplemembrane is 1:10 (mol/mol).
